Default What does your STI boost read?

My boost is supposed to be 1 bar or so I thought. I only makes it .8 of the way? What does your's boost do? Do you have any explanations for this?

Does the stock gauge register pounds of boost or bars? Are these stock boost gauges accurate?

that could have something to do with the gear you're in. I'm not sure about sti's, but the wrx's boost level is limited to lower levels by the factory boost controller in 1st and 2nd gear.

I've had peak boost pressures of 15.1 psi on a few occasions, i need to test a bit more to see if it is just spikes, and where it occurs the most.

As soon as I can put my car's interior back together into a driveable state, I will press the pedal to the metal and see what I get.

My boost gauge is the stock factory gauge. What connections should I check? Should I roll it into the dealership and ask them to check the connections?

1 bar on the Defi BF in all gears except first. I did notice this morning that I got another .05 bar because it was cooler than usual.

I hit 17.5 and get engine cut during long full throttle runs in 5th (on the track).

The ECU cuts engine power when it sees 17.5psi for over 2 seconds. I got this numerous times on the track with a Turbo-Back Exhaust and silencer hack.
