Post news from the shop

Spoke with Robert earlier today. He found some valve cover grommets that he will install to fix my nice little oil leak. He also figured out the problem on the turbo. Just no enough air passing through the turbo. This kit is a stage 1 kit, which uses a T3. The kit he sold Chuck is stage 2, which uses a T4.

It looks like he will be either machining out the turbo housing or he will order a T4 housing for the kit.

More news, if anyone is interested, will be posted as it comes.

Cool. Keep us posted, I am interested in how this turns out with a bigger turbo housing.

Me too. I prefer to keep my engine au natural. I also prefer not to have some upstart WRX making the EG33 look bad, and turbocharging the EG33 may be the way to go after all.

Kastle,

After I thought about it a bit more, you may want to break it in for a few hundred miles before you take it to the track for repeated abuse.

Most of the turbo kits I have seen suggest a few hundred mile breakin period before really romping on it.

Just a thought,

Aaron

Don't listen to him Kastle. Aaron is just a sissy bed wetter. He is soooo worried about his little baby Impreza, that he won't even race Geo's. I think I will wait a year or two before I come back to Phoenix after that posting.

Well it looks like Turbo4Me just became NoTurbo4Me, since he is not going to drive my car now

at least I haven't mis-shifted at the track and hit 8k RPM

Got some more news now. Robert and I decided to upgrade the turbo in total to the T4. This is what Chuck in FL has in his car.

We are also doing the timing belt, AC & Altenator belts, NGK platinum spark plugs and the rest of the Valve cover stuff.

I should get her back next friday. I will have new pics then (we are changing alot, including the intake to a cone filter). I'm planning on taking it down to Firebird raceway that night too.
