Default Oil leak from starter - overfilled on oil change?

My '02 OBS has a small leak or seep around the starter. It also appears that the Quick lube place overfilled on the last oil change, and I thought maybe the extra oil is getting blown out wherever it can. (I bought a pack of filters from the dealer, and just go to the more convenient oil change place). It's a long shot, I'm hoping that changing the oil again, with a proper fill level, will fix the problem.

Most likely I'll end up at the dealership to get it fixed under warranty. Anyone else seen this problem?

Jim

I had an 02RS, it was way overfilled with oil one time - ever since that time the rear oil seal slowly leaked. Dealer confirmed the leak, but the car was wrecked before further investigation.

That had me a bit concerned the last few days. But I took it in to get a few things looked at, and the mechanic found that the oil was coming from my Amsoil filter . I thought I had wrung and blotted the excess oil out, but the engine heat loosened up one last trickle of Amsoil air filter oil.
