stant093@ - if you're needing a rebuild, why not just call a wrecker to locate a EJ25 short block? Your heads will bolt right on, and you'd get extra compression + displacement. It'll save you the cost of assembling the motor.

Stock or upgrade?
If stock, look in the vendors/dealers forum. There are a few Suby dealers that sell stock parts online, and some sell upgrades as well.

GTBGUY- good idea..dont know if too many of those are banging around...but its a good thought.

the motor is already disassembled, and the heads are off...block is not split yet, thats coming in the next few weeks...
the rings were smoked in the engine, it smoked quite alot so i m looking for pisitons and rings etc...too

i dont know what i want to do to this motor yet, it was a spare lying around and i figured its perferct to learn on. i was thinking a 2.5 crank....(possible, right?) sending the heads out...any ideas on whos the best for that?
im still in the very early stages of rebuilding so any suggestions are definatly appreciated!

i would like to go mediocre high performance on this engine, but its gonna take awhile to save up for each addition to it. so its a nice sunday afternoons' project

Why not get them from the dealer? Or better yet a web enabled dealer with good prices?!
