Default Engine mount into '00~ Legacy

Has anyone installed engine mounts into a 00 or high Legacy. MY car is up on the hoist and the mount just doesn't seem to fit quite right. Has anyone else tried this or plan on doing this? I have the same mounts as would fit the older 2.5RS. Any help or comments appreciated.

No prob, with some very convincing shuffling they popped in...it really didn't look like they would go, but they did. Anyways, great feel, very nice improvement for a very good price. I'm just waiting for my tranny mount to arrive now.

I haven't, i might, it depends on how satisfied u folk are with the new mounts(STI)???,or rs?? and feed back u give ect. Plus i dunno if the factory mounts are durable for the long run.

PHAT, I don't really have a tonne of tips.
Basically make sure you have everything facing in the right direction and on the right side. They are pretty clearly marked but it is still possible to make a mistake. The problem was when we lifted the engine up it got a little off center so when we lowered it back in the Right Hand mount got caught up on a lip on the cross member. In that position it really didn't look like it was going to go in, as well as the angle of everything. Anyways, keep a BIG pry bar handy. Are you doing it on a hoist? The only other thing is that some of the nuts are a touch awkward. Basically just take your time and don't get frustrated. It will fit in, it just may need some convincing depending on how the engine sits when you lift it up.

Andy, the mounts are definitely worth it. I will be doing the tranny mount as soon as I get it in stock as well. For the money it is a very nice "feel good" mod and it definitely tightens up the front handling. Much less sloppy.
