Default Hitch Update

O.K. Draw-tite 24710. Fits perfect! It doesn't look like it would fit but it does. There is .5 inches between pipe and bottom of hitch rail. The only spot that interfered was a small tab of metal sticking down right in the middle of the back down below the trunk. If you bend this up a little before putting on the hitch then it will clear just fine (the metal is really thin and hidden underneath the car). Make sure not to strip the bolts (I stripped one of the three and just left it. it won't come back out).

The hitch looks great and is almost completely hidden by the rear plastic. $80 at drawtite-hitches.com just search on the 2003 wrx or imprezza (it is the same model and yes it fits on the 2004 usdm STI).

I will post pictures sometime next week.

Good news. Thanks.

Will the exhaust hit the trailer bar if you hit bumps ?

Default trailer bar

There is .5 inches of clearance between the exhaust tip and the bar. I was on a fairly bumpy gravel road today and I did not hear anything.
