Question 96 2.2L TPS setting

Howdy y'all,

I'm a Ford mechanic, girlfriend has a 2.2 Impreza, I don't know much about them. OBDII tells me the TPS is bad. Can anyone tell me how to test this on this vehicle, what the voltages should be? found a good description online for the 91-94 Impreza's, is it the same?

Thanks,
Derek

Basically the same. It's a 5 volt sensor. 5 volt power wire, ground wire, signal wire.

Closed TPS voltage should be between 0.4 - 1.0. Mine is 0.61

WOT TPS voltage should be between 3.5 - 4.5. Mine is 3.91

Hello,

Thanks,
I figured it was close to the same, so I set hers at 0.88V closed. it's somewhere around 4.5 open. Hers was set at around .43 closed before, must have been too low, kept tripping the MIL.

Thanks,
Derek
