Default Has Anyone Done a Burnout Yet?

With the all wheel drive and reports of the STI capable of laying 4 patches on concrete...wondered if anyone as attempted such a feat?

I probably won't ever try, but it would be neat to see!

Well considering a BONE STOCK wrx (non sti) can do a 4 wheel burnout (without a 7k clutchdrop)
then yes an STI should have no problem making it happen

Just don't screw everyone else by claiming it under warranty when you melt down your drivetrain.

Men are like drag racers - Ready, set, floor it for ten seconds...and I'm spent.

Women are like road racing - You build up to a good pace, throwing it from side to side, keeping it barely on the road, going for twenty miles, stop for a quick break, and do twenty more. You keep it steady and on the road long enough, and you'll win every time.

This is the best most accurate analogy I've ever heard.

Regarding the first post, the stock WRX can do a 4 wheel burnout, but that's on P205 16 inch wheels with a different AWD system. The STi has a different AWD system, DCCD and those P225 17" sticky Potenza's so......who want's to try it out first and let me know what happens?

Some men are like some STis with pre-ignition.

Yo,

I did a 720 and then a 4 wheel drift around the marks from the 720.

The car did it easily, slid the DCCD to the rear revved it up alittle, turned and let the clutch out quick and she spun around on a dime. Did it at the Boeing parking lot with my wife and and suzi in the car,my wife didnt appreciate it to much. Quite fun.

Default burn out? moi?

* raises his hand*

it is so much different than my mr2 was. the car is disgustingly powerful. i fall more in love with it every day just once, to be able to say i did it.

p.s. for the "it's not a car, it's the soul of an angel, to be preserved and never driven" people, I also ran it through this insane loose rock zone (fun) and took it muddin (also fun) :
