I paid $800 over invoice at Five Star Subaru of Oneonta(NY). They also threw in wheel locks.

I just took my friend to Buffalo, NY to pick his up Monday...he paid MSRP and the dealer gave him a set of WRX mats so he wouldn't get the floors dirty on the drive home...also, they agreed that noone would drive the car...not even for the PDI, so it had 6 miles on it when we picked it up. Very cool dealership and salesman...I think his name was Mike...blondish hair...sort of looks like Ken from the Barbie thing. They have a blue one with gold wheels in the showroom just waiting for a home!!

I payed 31,460.80 out the door with no options. I bought it at VB in NY but then I had to pay 6% sales tax when I got it back to MI.

29,680.00 plus 6% sales tax in MI = 31,460.80


Thats my 2nd car from VB's, my first was a WRX last year.

They are a great dealer if your in their area!!!

I'm driving ou tomorrow to pick up my STi from VB. I live in Ferndale, 3 blocks from Hodges.

haven't seen you around yet, but haven't been driving around the area too much lately either.

the 350+ mile drive home should help make that pesky break-in go a little bit faster too...

I'll be picking up my STi from Van Bortel this Saturday.
I paid exactly $29,085.

<Not including $555 freight and a $40 doc. & out of state temp. plate fee>

I called them just 60 days ago.

I've been told by my sales agent, Patrice Everest, as well as both their finance guys that the vast majority of those on the 'list' are none viable for various reasons; waiting to sell current car, still saving cash for a downpayment, waiting on a specific color (i.e. white/gold), upside down in their current car, or the buyer has plainly asked to be skipped.

I'd encourage folks to call and inquire but only if you are serious, which is exactly what I did.

I believe the lowest purchase was made by '944 Turbo Guy' as his wife works for a dealership in MD and got him an employee deal. I should come in at second place.

if you're going to be at VB on Saturday morning, look for my wife & I (look for her dark silver Cooper S). I'm picking up the white/silver one, assume you're getting one of the two silver/silver (or were they blue/silver, I forget what Bill told me the other day) which are also there.

I was waiting for white/gold, but decided I could take the silver wheels.

I got onto their list in May of 2001 & was first but swapped spots with Bill for his #9 slot, which is working out just fine. This will be car #6 for the household, which is more than little bit sillly, but I have reasons for almost all of them but one, which will be sold in a while...

Yes, I'm picking up one of the two Silver/silver units.
I tried to weasel my way in to your White/silver but they weren't having it.

I tried to swap last month with someone but Patrice told me they weren't having it.
No matter though as patience pays off.

BTW, I'll have to tell my wife about you and your six cars.
She's been giving the business about having three cars.

How the heck are you guys getting such great buys? Cheapest I have found so far is $2000 over MSRP. I live about 25 miles from the port of entry. See car carriers full of nothing but STi's all the time. Several local dealers have them on the lot but will not budge on price. Won't even take a cash deal for msrp. I guess I play the waiting game.

Nice, VB is a sweet dealership. I was working with Doug, whom I took my 04 WRX test drive with. I've only seen one black STi around the Rochester area so far. I've seen it twice at the intersection of Jefferson and Winton. Guy in his 30s looks like is driving it.
