Default Question about Spec C suspension

im sooo sorry (not being sarcastic here) but i have a dumb@$$ question regarding sti spec c takeoffs
and by spec c, i mean

sti ra spec c
spec c
and the new v 8 spec c

i *might* be able to get my hands on a set of spec c's (not sure specifically which)
but my main question is, will the struts/springs (aka takeoffs) be compatable on a stock suspension car?

From what people have told me, the take offs wont fit at all, and will be incompatable with my car unless i get

aluminum control arms
trailing links
new front braces

Is it really neccesary to have those items, or will spe c takeoffs fit without those new components?

Sorry this is such a n00bish question

btw i have a 02 Impreza WRX

TIA

Mike, ask Alan (bemani) about this. He's got the Spec C on his sedan (IIRC).

The spec C takeoffs should bolt right up,, the other stuff, links etc. just make it that much better

The new ver 8 has a different tophat but i believe it will bolt up as well.

Lemme run this down a bit

JDM STi models

01 STi and STi RA (Ver 7)
02 STi and STi RA spec C (Ver 7)
03 STi and STi spec C (Ver 8)

The race-prepped models(RA, RA spec C, and spec C) use the same struts as the "regular" STi for each year but use stiffer springs. To my knowledge any of the above models suspensions bolt right up to any New Age sedan(USDM or JDM) with no probs at all. The rear springs and topmounts of the 03 models were changed significantly but they still work fine as a complete installed unit. You do not need the other listed components for the strut/spring/topmount assemblies to be installed and work fine.
