donnie darko was great, but solely for the smurf conversation.

they did a horrible job of relaying the story they wanted to relay. the deleted scenes were nessassary for their take on the whole thing to be evident. A- for style, C for craftsmanship.

Out Cold was just downright horrible. completely boring, completely unoriginal, complete waste of my time.

not even being in love with the girl who recommended it to me could make me say i liked it.

she kinda turned out to be like that movie... the ride just wasn't worth the admission.

also, i've just purchased jackie chan's "WHO AM I?" on dvd.

if you haven't seen this flick yet... you should. it's like the "so bad it's good" elements of kung-pow and any "these lines are so cheezy they're funny" movie with the sheer ass-kicking-ness of jackie chan's stunts, silly mid-fight humor, and kick-butt evolutionVI mid-city driving.

mix with a dash of the coolest parking job ever(i'm serious) and you have yourself a REALLY enjoyable movie.

if you like movies where they say the title of the movie, in the actual movie, repeatedly, creating a comical effect due to the so-so english dubbing- see this flick. i'd give it an A+.

if some magazine paid me to do that stuff.

Other must haves for any collection:

The Usual Suspects ("How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?")

Heat ("Gimme all ya got! Gimme all ya got!")

The Crow, the first one, and ONLY the first one. ("If it's any consolation to you, you have put a smile on my face.")

The Princess Bride ("My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die.")

Romeo and Juliet The one directed by Baz Luhrmann with Claire Danes and Leo DiCaprio. ("With love's light wings did I o'er perch these walls....")

There are certainly others........

Equilibrium....the story is a little transparent, but still a good flick to watch.
