Thanks Ron.

pitbul09: I pulled the intake out of the box and took some pics for you!

Pics installed below.

The intake goes in with filter facing down away from engine heat. The filter is replacable from ARC for about $60 USD.

Here is the pic of the STi shifter trim:

Im curious to what kinda performance increase you would gain from that box with the filter? Do u have any kinda of data? Also cannt tell from the photo but is there somthing that cover the filter or is it open to the air?
thanks

It's open to air. I thought about hacking my stocker up awhile back after reading/seeing pics of how others did it. Didn't want to destroy/ghettofi my airbox. After a few thousand miles, open up your airbox and look at filter. There will be a 4" diam circle of dirty filter. Rest of it will look new. This is an awesome looking/functional design. Allows full use of filter.

with it being open how often would u have to change the filter? also would u still use the norkel and the intake part that runs to the fender and connect to the snorkel in the fender?

Snorkel/silencer are eliminated. Pole position will have to answer if filter is cleanable like K&N filters(uses a $15 cleaning kit that lasts years and dozens of cleanings unless you drive offroad daily)
and what to re-oil with.

That induction air box looks really cool. And ARC is top quality stuff too. Just one quesiton though: with the filter open to the elements, won't it be sucking in hot engine air? How's that different from any round open filter? Performance gains?

It would not suck in hot air, because the open filter face towards inlet pipe which gets air from the outside as you drive.

It works excellent with the Zero/Sports intake pipe kit. The induction box sits very solid with the brackets provided by ARC. No extra modification. It is simple bolt on.

Unfortunately the customer liked the set up so much that he bought the box. Thus, I have no more left. If there is interest, I'm more than happy to special order them in (3 - 4 weeks).

The filter needs to be change once every year I say, or unless you drive you a lot. Those usually goes around $60 USD.

I really like that air box. 3-4 weeks is along time to wait and $370 is alot of money for what looks to be minimal gain. Keep us posted if the price drops a bit.

I'm in Alberta, Canada. I ship to US all the time, so no worries on that.

After talking to the customer, he said the gains are very good. We did install the Z/S intake pipe and the ARC box at the same time, so he felt a really strong pull.

From just looking at the setup, it looks very good and promising.

Those of you that want the combo ARC box and Z/S intake pipe kit, I can do $475 USD shipped! However, the wait is 4 weeks and 50% deposit is required.

Not a dumb question. The Fujitsubo will bolt on no problem with a JDM down pipe.

No the ARC box and pipe has not set off the CEL. It has been installed for almost a week now.

Yes the Fujitsubo is cat-back stainless steel. I will post some pics tomorrow.
