Default My brake pads were covered under warranty

I had no idea that a wear item like brake pads was covered under the three year warrenty. Did they make some kind of mistake? This is awsome, I was expecting to dish out some money here.

Mine to. 1 dealership quoted me 400$ to change my pads and fix my rotars...I was actually at that dealership and they had my keys already.
Then another dealership did it all for free... Thank god for the cellphone...

= the bad dealership
= subaru of wallingford

I think if you read your warranty the bakes are covered for like the first year.

Hmmmmmm, I wonder if that holds true for the brakes on my STI. Hehehhehee. I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Yeah it was Smith-Cairns. I was really surprised because that was my first good experience there in the 2 years I've had my car. I had only 22,000 miles, but I go through brakes fast probably because all the damn hills we have to live with. They replaced all the pads and resurfaced the rotors too. They said it was under the 3 year warrenty, so the moral of the story is be hard on your brakes and get them replaced before 36,000 miles.

Wear parts on the newer models are covered under the 3/36 warranty- brake pads, clutch disk, wiper blades, light bulbs, etc.
