Default Plastic over shocks?

I just went out to my car and found plastic bags on all of my shocks. I was wondering if maybe they forgot to take them off during prep or if they are supposed to stay on there. Did anyone elses car come like this?

It is actually a rust proofing bag. It should not be removed or you will void the warranty

j/k

It should have been removed.

My idiot dealer did the same thing. You might want to have the alignment checked now. Mine was way out.

Removing the plastic bags has nothing to do with alignment.

I believe he said to get the alignment checked because a lot of the STI's are not to spec as far as alignment goes.

Default Plastic Bags

After I've got my STI my dealer called me within 2 days and they told me that they forgot to remove the plastic bags over the shocks. He asked me to remove them and I did it.

my dealer forgot to remove these as well, I found them about 4 mins after taking delivery, when I tried to pull into a parking spot at a diner and felt them rub. I remember reading a post about it and checked right away, and sure enough there they were big black plastic bags!!!

Mine were on too.

They put them on and spray the undercoating on and it prevents it from getting onto the shock.

Man, i got dirty cutting them off.
