Default STi car cover

I called covercraft, and as of now they do not have a car cover for the STi.
question:
1. Is anyone using a cover from a wrx or wrx wagon
2. if so which one fits better

Any help would be appreciated

Thumbs up

Unless you remove your wing, how do you expect to maintain a snug fit?

Also, if the cover is very tight and snug to begin with, the additional hoodscope heighth could pose a problem.

Let me know what you find.

To answer your question, i took the wagon cover off my 02' wrx and put it on the STi, the wing is definately the thing that is keeping the cover from fitting correctly. Also, the cover does not account for the canards, which adds to the width, and it also does not account for the flares. The scoop is not a huge deal though, as the cover basically just stretches from the top of the windshield to the leading edge of the nose, and the higher scoop fits within that triangle.

I'm not gonna take the wing off to experiment, but it is possible to make it fit in my estimation.

I bought an evo cover for my sti (because they both have wings) and it fits fine. i believe the evo is about 3 inches longer and 1.5 inches wider so the cover is slightly too large but you can take care of this problem by rubber banding one corner of the cover if it really bothers you.

I ordered one from Griot's garage after they checked with their manuf. who is supposed to have a pattern. Have to wait for it's arrival to check the fit.

I have the WRX sedan cover and haven't tried it yet --- looks like the wagon cover goes much closer to fitting!

Default Autoanything.com has Got 'em

Called Covercraft( http://www.covercraft.com/)and asked if the they had covers for the Sti, they do but do not sell to the public and suggested I contact www.autoanything.com (800-874-8888) they have them. I got the Evolution4(how ironic is that). Might give them a try. Good luck, have fun and always remember to use protection.

My cover from griots garage showed up yesterday. Fits really nice. Wouldn't do to put it on while the exhaust is still warm since it wraps around the rear bumper. It does look like an aztec or vibe (the worlds ugliest cars) when it's covered.

Jack(LA), it looks great. Did you get the Superweave? I checked on it and they claim that's the best stuff to go with. $289 plus shipping they quoted.

That's the one -- there are several other fabric choices available with the same fit at a significantly lower price. This particular fabric/weave (while pricey) is great for outdoor use and folds into a very light and compact package.
