First off... I know jack about how all of this stuff works and what most of this stuff means.
This is what I have pieced together so far though.... My first investment in my STI will be a Blitz SUS Intake. After that I know I need to do something with the "plumbing" of my exhaust (DP, etc.). I have seen different posts about the STI and its cats, or lack thereof, and don't know what exactly I should be looking to buy next. I know there are two different types of exhaust (turbo-back, cat-back). I know there is such thing as up-pipes and down-pipes. I am not necessarily looking for brand names, but I need to know what I do and DON'T need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ![]()

Up-pipe is catless so you really do not need to change that out. The downpipe has a cat in it and there is one more cat after that. You can replace the downpipe and get a catless one which will increase the speed of the spoolup and make max boost come on a little sooner. For the rest I suggest you do a search and type in what your curious about.

You might want to read this thread before dumping $250 on the Blitz SUS........
Not everyone agrees it is necessary or even a good idea in the first place..........two sides to every story; just make sure you do some research. http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showth...threadid=31800 |

Spooled up longer? A bigger turbo would solve that, however that is another big thread. Downpipe would make the turbo spool a wee bit quicker however. With dp, exh, and Blitz sus filter, i got 281.1 on the dyno on a hot day.
