Default fwd axles working with AWD tranny?

I'm going to be doing the swap and need to know if my fwd axles will work with my awd tranny my car is a 94 the awd tranny I'm getting is a 94. the awd swap doesn't include front axles because they were damaged soo Do i need awd front axles? or am I able to use my old ones. also does it matter if the axles are from a manual or auto?

thanks
Dan

Axles _should_ work, regardless of transmission type. I haven't verified this, of course.

I know someone who used FWD axles on his AWD legacy. The FWD units are heavier though.

All of us are smarter than to buy a '93, though You just have the bastard child of all bastard children.

ok ok, I take it back. If I could have gotten the loan at the time, I'd be driving around in a '93 wagon

some FWD imprezas have lots of potential
When they have a welded front differential
With an ej20 swap it would be very special
I think the low weight gives it so much potential
With the amount of time spent, you better get a pre-nuptial
