Post Trunk Bar

While getting my state safety inspection at my Soob dealer I saw a new item on a floor model Forester.
It was an add on/bolt on grab bar mounted on the tailgate. Looks to me like useful add on as closing the lid always makes me think that I will eventually wear out the paint somewhere.
Stock number is DCOGateBar and was quoted $63.96. Asked about installation cost..quoted $55.00.
Looks to me like a do it yourself thing. Would probably need a template then dill two(2) holes. I would assume it would come as a kit with all the necessary hardware.
Perhaps WRX Girl/Darlene or Teagues has more info than this.
Anyway that's my input and I will try to find out more for my own use.

Must be similar to the one on the new Outbacks. They've been around since the 2000s came out.

Install is key. One person I know ended up with a slight dent, and the handle didn't mount flush. Another had a perfect installation and it's flush.
