I've been asking the samething, and the answer is the map will be available when someone with those mods get a custom tune by cobb in Utah. Would someone like to volunteer?

If you have any sort of desire to get your engine management straightened out in the next 2 months... let alone if you've been waiting months already... my suggestion is to consider seeking another solution.

As for the release of future AccessECU products, here's the order we currently feel they'll be released (subject to change):

(1) MY04 WRX AccessECU
(2) AccessPort + another 10-20 additional WRX maps for nearly all IHI turbos, all SR turbos, most intakes, etc.
(3) AccessTuner and a datalogging software package (name TBD)
(4) AccessECU for H6 equipped models (already done, just testing maps currently)
(5) AccessECU for new 2.5L Turbo models (STi/ForesterXT/BajaTurbo)
(6) AccessECU for 1999-current 2.5L NA models
(7) AccessTCU for WRX(VTD) Auto Transmissions

I could give a reason why those maps are so long in the making... Most people will ridicule the answer though.

The states of tune and components found on their Stage 1 and Stage 2 cars are close enough that an off-the-shelf map will suffice. However, when you start going beyond that the variances between similarly equipped cars becomes of concern. Variances in injector flow between each set, different fuel pumps, different characteristics between "identical" turbos, even differing engine tolerances all compound to create a condition that may be outside of the map. It is because of this that they have been slow to release any maps for additional stages. Trey is a perfectionist and if it isn't perfect then it doesn't come out. To merely say that it is due to a lack of dyno time and exposure to those mods would be a false accusation.

As far as I know, it is most definitely not because they are trying to curb the market in anticipation for their staged kits. I haven't heard any plans of one.

Would be cool if they found a few tuners in several states and allowed an affordable custom tune service... $400 + dyno time is a lot cheaper than an ECUtek + dyno time.

If they only allowed trusted tuners to take part, it might increase their data collection too..

I've heard through the grapevine that this is under discussion - but this info does not come from Cobb directly so it's probably not reliable at all Probably a tuner just telling me what I want to hear
