Default Can you give any SECS recommendations/comments?

I am looking for information on this unti since I am a newbie. Please tell me what you think of the SECS monitors. (advantages/disadvantages to mechanical/analog gauges)

Also, do they monitor the ECU input or output?

How do I reset my computer without one?

What is the benefit to such a reset if you have not triggered any codes?

I was considering mechanical gauges until I discovered this unit.

What would it cost to buy all the necessary pieces with and without installation?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

try doing a search on SECS.

I have one and its brilliant, i am just installing Water Injection which i will be using the SECS to trigger the boost threshold with, i am combining that with a charge temp trigger too, but thats another story.

It's a very good piece of kit.

Talk to Mark at Quantum Racing, he is the US vendor for the unit. Its a great product with potential for expansion. Note however that it monitors the stock ECU and will not give accurate readings with a UTEC, etc.

Hi!

Just wondering how you were wiring this up... does the SECS have enough grounding to ground the injection pump itself? or do you have to use a relay?

Thanks!

mizar... The switched outlets on the SECS units can't carry the load the pump requires to run. You gotta use a relay.

Johnfelstead.... I'm interested in hearing more about the incorporation of the air temp signal into the triggering of the WI. Please PM me or post a little more detail.

Thanks -Chuck
