Default any thoughts on the new stromung exhaust?

Anyone have any thoughts on the new stromung exhaust...It has 3.5 inch angled tip. Hows it going to sound? Its also alot cheaper ($50 less) than the standard single tip and supposedly lighter. Any ideas why? Think its a cheaper cost savings version?

thanks!

Interesting...

I have a Stromung SS Catback, Duel Tip, and I love it. I didn't know that they were making a bigger-tipped version. Hmm..

Any links?

Check it out at the top of this page:
http://home.att.net/~teaguesauto/exhaust.htm

It's called the Stromung type XA.

I'd also like to know more about this muffler.

Looks like it just has a single wall cut tip. Unlike the others that have resonated tips. The tip is probably just cheaper for them. Wouln't it be a little louder than??

Anyone else?

Dual tip still >, but that is alot cheaper.

Wow. I didn't know that Stromung made a high-flow cat! That's the exact piece I want to complete my Borla/Stromung headerback!

Very cool. Good find on the new catback, by the way, but I like my Duel-tip better

I'd save your dosh... go to a custom muffler shop, and have a magna flow with a similar tip put on, I doubt it'd cost more than 200.

Just picked one up at stromung today... Not a bad looking exhaust 3.5" tip. I guess it is the same muffler with a cheaper tip (knife cut stainless) with the stromung logo embossed on the tip. Haven't had a chance to install... just to stare at it... This weekend is going to be RS fest 2003! I have a rear sway bar, intake, and exhaust to install. woo hoo.
