just so as not to confuse people you might want to change the date from 8/6 (which already passed) to 9/6

Do you mean in the last update line of the first post?

If so, it's changed.

Can anyone give me an estimated drive time from Jacksonville, Fl.

MSN maps and directions puts it at 4hr 24min.....

MSN maps was the only one out of yahoo, mapquest, etc. that could find Tom Sill Sr. Blvd..

Is the dealership where everything is happening???

Is there a good hotel close to the dealership???

macon is about 2.5 hours away from Valdosta....not sure how far Jacksonville is away from Valdosta though. There are plenty of hotels in Macon....seems like they have about 3-4 of each hotel chain somewhere in Macon.

There is a hotel within walking distance of the dealership.

Yes, the events will be held at the dealership - rally will be dismissed from there as well.

Check first post for dealership phone numbers.

Some of you may want to get your accomodations and route planned out.

Thanks,

Joe

Bad News: My friend with the supercharged Focus had a blow out this past weekend and flipped his car... Sadly neither he or his car will be there.... But I'll be there bright and early... Have to get parts from a SVX parts car...

I'll be there, but I'm struggling to find a co-driver/navigator. How important will that be? If I can't convince someone to come, can I pair up with someone there?

A navigator wouldn't be a bad idea. But it isn't really necessary. To win, all you have to do is calculate the time it would "ideally" take a car to finish the course by using the included rally instructions. All that's really important are your odometer readings (as accuarate as possible) between the segments. Use your odo readings in conjunction with speed of each segment on the rally instructions, do the math, and bingo, out pops the time. It's not really as easy as it sounds, though. It takes some figuring and it's easy to get confused, but if you're careful in your math, you'll do fine. The first one I ever entered, I came in 2nd place. If you have a real rally computer, it will do all this for you and you will own all. I would offer up my services as a nav but I've got school crap that weekend. I'd be a good one too, I live 5 mins. from the dealership and know the backroads we'll be driving on well. I'm a 25 yr. resident of the area. Hell, I may just show up and school everyone in my Acura. Or maybe not

dude, greenmarine, i hope your buddy's alright. i'll bring your stuff for you. i haven't had time to pull off the other pieces, but 4 pieces should keep you busy for a while. i'll ship the rest or get the rest to you at another time.

you'd better get working on your car. you only have < 20 hours left. mine's in the shop now getting new axles, tranny cooler + filter, fuel injection service, steering rack & pinion, flush of all fluids, etc. mine will be as good as new by tomorrow . but being out of the svx for 3 days really sucks.

anyone know where i can get the directions to meet at the subaru dealership?
