Default Funny cop story

Ok so I am cruising along in my hachi roku when i pass a motorcylcle cop. Ahh crap hes gonna bust me for my expired inspection. I pull over he says I'm pulled over for my inspection. He states "You know what's wrong with it?" I say yea its expired. He says " No its not expired. It says its good until 2009 and must be a fake." I state " Uhh I'm pretty sure the 9 means it expired in 1999 its the old texas shape. Cop "Oh yea that's probably what it is. Well get that taken care of"

Sorry I laughed all the way home.

To continue the trend... you drive a 1993 23 Silvia...or

1993 23 240sx here in the states. Gotta love the Nippon.

86 is short for AE86, which is the chassis code or whatever for the mid 80's toyota corolla GT-S

Hachi roku is the top secret code number toyota came up with for the ultimate drift car project. It would be slow, have a solid rear axle (Camaro shocks bolt on by the way), and come with really gay wheels.

What does GC8 mean and how come I see GC8's that have vins saying GC6 or something?

Why is it called a Subaru, when its made by Fuji? I would rather say I owned a Fuji Heavy Industries WRX... Sounds all industrial and cool. And much faster than hybrid RS's.

Man I miss my hachi! But yeah the AE86 was the first four letters in the chassis code for all US RWD corollas between 84-87 wheter it was an SR5 (base model, different engine and no lsd or 4wheel disc brakes) or the GTS, but in Japan only the GTS (or GTV or Sprinter) models were AE86's. The base models over there were AE85 and really sucked. Really want to find another one, probably the funnest auto-x car I've ever driven. *sigh*

OK...just FYI to clarify, at least from my point of view... Our original confused posts about Hachi Roku and AE86's was joking and sarcasm. I think that some people may think we're seriously under-educated in J-spec/JDM history here. ;p

J-spec means Japanese-Spec
JDM means Japanese Domestic Market

I hope this makes you less confused. Just hang in there, one day you will get it straight.

I will bring it to wingstop tonight. Weird as its 12:16 am. But yea the corolla had some bugs to work out to make it reliable. (EX: new battery, alternator as I used to just charge it up and drive it around, tires)I corrected those and have put 300 dirt miles on it already. So it's all good
