Default Any probs with ej22t and Ludespeed III?

Has anyone tried this? I am about to and seeing if anyone ran into any problems while doing this. Has anyone tried a similar block and turbo? Thanks for any help!

Steve

It will work perfect. There will be zero fitment problems so you have nothing to worry about there.

Are you going to use the EJ25 heads?

If you can find a brand new one that's your best bet, but apparently they've become harder to come by lately. I've running the EJ22T block on my car and I love it. My turbo setup is different, but 16 PSI on a TD04L is still nice though.

Spam- good deal man. There are some nice pieces in that kit. Sort of funny how stuff makes its way around...

seven- I have been wanting to ask you if you got your car going with the EJ22. So, I take it you like it? 16 psi...I'm sure you could take it a bit higher. I would like to know how it compares to 2.5 around 8 psi or so.

I've been runing with the trubo for about a month now. It's still running rich though. I've been having some trouble getting the coils to spark above 10PSI. Other than that no problems that are out of the ordinary. The car does run hotter, but that has to do with the coolant running though the turbo more than anything else. I'm only going to 16PSi on the TDO4L, but when the 18/20G goes in it'll be around 25PSI and that's when the fun comes in. The 7.7:1 compression allows more boost and timing, so we'll see what we can do with that combo.

A new EJ22T block. I was talking to Bill at I-Speed who was helping me tune my car and he said that we're harder to find these days due to their popularity. I haven't looked for one since I already have one, so I could be wrong about that.

ya the engine is brand new in the crate still...im really excited to get it. Im going to run like 4.5 psi (lowest you can run) for a while so i can make sure that my engine is def broken in before i hit any real boost.

Hey, what kinda tranny are you running with? I have heard that i should be running close to 280 awhp...and im afriad of my tranny blowing. I hear the stock WRX's are good till they hit around 300 awhp and then they start to get bad. I would like to get a 6MT STi tranny, but thats a lil bit much for me now.

I'm running the stock RS tranny and I don't plan on doing launches or upgrading my clutch any time soon. I'd like the clutch to slip versus a broken tranny. If it breaks, I'll go with a STI 6MT or a syncro'd dog setup of some kind. The tranny is a weak point, but that mainly has to do with driving technique.
