Default Stock head unit question...WRX

Im picking up my 2003 WRX next week....
Ive got a 10" alpine sitting around I want to hook up, this car im getting doesnt have the subwoofer option (which is good), my questions is...does the stock head unit have a sub out that I can hook into an amplifier? Or do I have to pull leads from the rear speakers? I tried checking some subwoofer installation docs for the impreza but they all use a harness, what should I do? Can I buy the harness and then splice wires? Any help is appreciated.

This really belongs in the Car Stereo forum, but the answer to your question is no, there are no line-level outputs of any kind on the factory HU. If you are adding a sub it has to have speaker level inputs or an external line-level converter.
