Default HELP My Compass mirror is stuck

Hello,

On Wednesday night on a trip to canada, I as usual got lost in sarnia ontario. Looking up at my trusty subaru mirror I noticed I was going south. I wanted to go north so I made a quick turn around and discovered my mirror was still telling i was going south. I got out of my car and fourtunatly it was clear and I could find my direction via the stars but I was really pissed my compass was wrong.

Has anyone had this problem? anyone know how to fix it? I need my compass it was one of my must haves for the car.

Please email me if you know how to fix this. [email protected]

I've had this happen once. Look in your owners manual, there is a procedure for calibrating the compass. Perform that procedure and your unit should work again.

hit the button for like 5sec until CAL shows on the display. then you make several turns cw on your car (in an empty parking lot) until the CAL goes off.

in my case, it took like 10 turns and i looked like a fool infront of many people.

you also need to set your magnetic deviation number ... see instruction manual and map for your area to fine tune.
