Default WRC Look vs OEM light output

Thought I'd post this to show the difference in light output/beam pattern of the WRC look headlights and the stock lights.

The OEM lights on the left throw a more concentrated pattern. The WRC-look lights throw light everywhere so they actually work a little better, but the also blind on-comming traffic.

cool review. for people in rural areas, that wrc light should work better...but might want to keep away from piaa's an higher output bulbs.

WRC head light uses H7 Hella E-code projector with beam pattern ___/ ___/.

I've using this headlight with HID bulb for almost a yr now.
I can't go back to old halogen headlight anymore.

I suggest using projector headlight with HID.

P.S you will not blind oncoming traffic if headlight is properly adjusted.

But these aren't the real projector WRC lights, they are the "WRC Look" reflector lights, "As Seen On Ebay". Correct me if I am mistaken.

It is the beam pattern on the left that would blind oncoming traffic, as it throws a lot of light up above the horizontal centerline. The pattern on the right throws more light to the sides (where it is useful) but not upwards into other drivers' eyes.

Pretty sure the real WRC car doesn't use Ociari's (they don't look that close, either IMO). I did find a company that sold a copy of the WRC housing in fiber glass, but if I remember correctly they never sold them in carbon fiber for some reason. Probably not enough demand, they were $150-$250 a piece. It did require that you got Hella lenses also, so add another $240. At that price it probably makes more sense to buy UK300's.

It svcks that Ociari couldn't make theirs look a little bit more like the real WRC ones, with the blinker a little less obvious. The finish on the UK300s look a lot better as well.

From the pictures I have seen of last years WRC car they didn't use projector lenses. All four were reflectors, probably good ones, though, not like the WRC-look lights. The WRC car doesn't rely on the stock lights much anyways.

The problem with aiming the WRC-look lights is that I couldn't get them far enough down. I don't think it really matters as the light pattern spreads light as much vertically as it does horizontally. They make pretty decent high beams, though. Together with a set of Hella projector lenses I think the output would be better than stock.

offcourse WRC car doesn't use ociari headlight but SCCA does.
anyway both WRC and ociali uses same hella projector unit.

real WRC uses dry carbon housing compared to plastic or fiber grass.

Only company in Japan makes real dry carbon WRC replica headlight but cost is $2000 for both of them.

I did not expect Italians to do the same precision as Japanese do even that much price difference.
