Default pulling hard and loving it! check this out!

My 99 GC8 with a motor i built and tuned STOCK trans, vishnu turbo kit and vishnu tec2 kit. Well i finally took it to the drag strip with the tec tuned fairly well. the motor has about 4K miles on it. I had it spiking about 13 pounds of boost the best run i got was 12.9@106MPH 60foot time was 1.87. not bad! I am finally in the 12's i think if i can ever get this thing tuned right/or by a pro i may e able to put it in mid 12's with 16pounds of boost and a better gear ratio.(and trans) I had to put the car in fifth gear even when i was shifting at 7K RPM.

What do you think? not bad for a selffunded daily driver.
Any ideas for a good solid trans with better gear ratio that will bolt up to a EJ25?
New england guy's, yes the plate says NDBOOST
(even when you have boost you always want more)

How much do you have into the kit? When you say built and tuned do you mean low comp. pistons? Whould love to meet up sometime, I'm 40 mins away on 101 south in New Ipswich NH 15 mins from Milford. 12's is awsome. I'm trying to get my wife to let me put a turbo on her car- i already have one on mine- 300hp 600+ lbs torque. Joel

congrats on the time, what gearset are you running?? the trap speed is rather low for an RS-T

i plan to be into the low 12's with 19psi on a 2.0 litre STi block.

Sweet time man! 12's is the place to be. Makes you feel like you got something out of the car after putting all that money into it.

As far as tranny rec's, I would say the PAR Synchro set should be alright. Not really anything but good remarks from what I read about them.

You say you were shifting at 7000 RPM, do you have head work as well? I know the stock valves are good to about 7200 RPM but I am still curious. I know a guy with a built motor and what not who bent a valve from overrevving...don't know what he revved to though.

port and polish took me about 2 to 3 weeks it was my first cylinder head project and i took my time. I also had a friend over looking the work for me to make sure i didn't screw it up. I have done 4 other cars and had very good luck.

HMM how much did the engine work cost you? Im thinking about keeping high compression, building up the engine, and puting the eaton s/c to 10 or more psi w/fmic.

I got pistons, rods and cams from cobb. springs and retainers also they seem to be the only one i could find valve springs for it. I bought the valves through ferrea they are the same as cobb valves but $200 cheaper. The compression is 8.5-1 100mm JE's, cower rods. Jeffp

Here's the girlfriend or wife---
I do go to NED but haven't been in a while. Been thinking about going up some time in Aug. Maybe 2nd or 3rd week? Joel

I hate to sound like a jerk dude but you should be in the elevens with a built motor. I thin k you need to runa bigger turbo or somthing. I had a fully built 240 sx running 11's with a t3/t4 and 50lbs injectors. My goal is to have my wrx running mid twelves on stock internals with a turbo upgrade.
