Default apexi avcr problem

I took my car in a couple days ago to have the avc r put it and everything was fine, or so I thought. Whenever I boost there is a ticking noise coming from the engine. I had friend look at it and he thinks its coming from the solenoid. So, my question is, is there anyway to fix this myself so i dont have to drive 2 hours away to get it fixed?

The solenoid packaged with the Apexi AVC-R is much louder than the stock solenoid.

Where did you mount the unit?

Just get some rubber washers put on inbetween the selenoid and the mounting surface. Problem solved

You will learn to love the sound of that ticking. It means the fun is about to let loose! I had hte AVC-R on my previous EJ20, and now have a Blitz SBC-id, and I'm seriously considering switching out the SBC-id, as I know I could get full boost in 1st and 2nd gears with the AVC-r, but apparently there is no gear based learning feature with the SBC-id. Trust me, keep the AVC-r, its an amazing unit.
