Maybe CV joints? But they go clunk clunk

Maybe bearings but they generally growl at speed.

Only on corners? Never when hitting bumps at all?

Maybe the coils in the springs are rubbing each other?

Default Always squeaks

My car ALWAYS squeaks... But I can never pinpoint it, other than it originating from the front of the car. It even does it @ idle.
Can't tell if its the pillow mounts, or something more sinister... I've quite worrying about it though. It will probably freak me out when it stops squeaking!.... Kinda like something that's an recurring odd occurrence, and when it doesn't reciprocate itself, something major is wrong... Or something to that affect.
In the mean time... Just going to enjoy driving the piss out of it.

Chris.

my car used to squeek when going over bumps or when i turned, when I checked out my car turned out one of the endlinks connected to my swaybar was loose

Does it only happen at speed or is it happening while sitting still too? I just installed my Prodrive setup and am getting squeaks when I turn at low speed... I couldn't track it down so I had a friend listen while I turned the wheel parked. We finally figured out that the spring is turning slightly on the spring seat part of the strut! I haven't figured out what I am going to do to fix this, but it might be something helpful to do yourself.

hey, my car goes clunk clunk. It's most noticeable when going on a very bumpy road or when I apply the brakes. Could this be my CV joints? If so, what can I do to fix them?

I'm betting its your sway bar endlinks, either front or rear. when the suspension moves the sway bar moves with it and the endlinks are a pivot point. If they are dry or loose (as mentioned) they will squeak. Get some silicon grease and try lubing up the bushings on these peices and see what happens.

Stock front struts come with a rubber donut that goes in between the spring and the spring seat on the strut. If you don't transfer this donut when you uprgrade to aftermarket struts and springs they will pop every time you go around a corner or hit a bump.

For the guy who is squeeking at idle: Replace you serpentine belt and see if that helps.

The odd part about the squeaks, is the rate of the 'squeaking' does not increase with rpm of the engine, or speed of the car.
I have a feeling something was hit very hard, suspension wise, and when the car landed it may have separated some body parts just enough to make them squeak. (There's a road called Kileen Trail off Ortega Hwy, not the best to take a car with tarmac suspension... ]
Probably something I'm just going to have to live with until the car dies.... Or I go deaf.

My car squeaks too. At idle, standing still and while driving. It only stops when I step on the clutch pedal...

With some help of this forum, I've managed to pinpoint the source of the squeak: the CLUTCH. More precisely, the throw out bearing. I haven't replaced it yet, it doesn't feel that urgent.
