Question 245/45-16 Kumho Victoracers - will they work?

Hey everyone, just had a question. I have availability to some free 245/45-16 Kumho Victoracers, will they work on a other wise completely stock 02 WRX for some track use?

minimmum wheel width for a 245/45-16 is 7.5" your oe wheels are 6.5" so, I would say they will not work correctly

Keep in mind that you'll be pinching the 245 so much on the rim it might not be any more usably wider than the 225. Likely no more usable tire, and a more flexy sidewall to boot.

I doubt any installer will even be able to get those tires on the stock 6.5" wide rim. The sidewalls are just too stiff. Ideally you need an 8" wide wheel, but you could get away with a 7.5".

I've seen 245 Victoracers on stock wheels, so yes, it CAN be done. The sidewalls however were very bulged, and the car seemed slower than mine on 225s.

Wow! And I was concerned about putting 235's on a 7.5" wheel!
