Exclamation SOA and Track Day, beautiful together!!

I just had lunch with Larry Kelso, who is a District Manager at SOA. What a seriously cool guy!

Here is the scoop:

Subaru of Santa Cruz is going to be our local sponsor, combining forces with SOA to help our event.

SOA is providing embroidered shirts for track day - we even get to design a logo for them. He showed me the shirts they are thinking of and they are quality. Very cool.

They will also bring 2 ten foot tents and banners/signage etc. He even mentioned bringing Subaru bottled water for the drivers!

They will also be contributing raffle prizes from the new SPT line. Things like the short throw shifter, strut brace etc.

It looks like the Subaru Drive magazine will also cover it.

I'm VERY happy about this.

As a token of good faith, Larry gave me a stack of foil WRC stickers a half inch thick, some posters and get this, a Subaru generator to use when we work on our cars!! (No joke, the thing is cool)

I'll hand out the stickers at the installfest Saturday

I'll get evolving details later next week, but we it's official, Subaru is on board and they are excited.

Thanks to Paul Eklund for the intro.

Many, many thanks to Larry Kelso for his help and support.

cheers,

angus

Cool

Actually, if I can get an idea of how many spectators we have, Larry might be able to increase the small Subaru trinket flowage!

Unfortunately, some items like the raffle prizes and shirts are going to go to paid drivers and instructors.

Let me work on it...

Tks all.

This event really highlights the great community Alex, Robert and Nick have created.

Looking forward to making it something the other clubs can be jealous of.

As far as non-driver attendees go, if you're taking a tally. I'm bringing the wife.

I was really looking fwd to this event before. Now I'm giddy! I'm really impressed. This is gonna be a long two months to wait. Thanks Angus!

Angus, sounds great! Drop me a line if you would like help on the design of the shirts ... I do a bit of graphic design on the side and would be willing to volunteer for that.

'course, if you just want the original vector files for the iclub logo, you're on your own, hehe. :>

Cheers,
Joe
