Smile Free Shipping on Progress Lowering Springs and Adjustable F & R Sway Bars!

We are now offering free shipping on all Progress products!

99% of the orders placed before 3PM EST M-F are shipped the same day!
The front sway bar is a 22mm with two position adjustability. It comes with new bushings and a packet of grease and stickers.

The rear sway bar is also a 22mm bar, but with three position adjustability. It comes with new heavy duty sway bar mounts, bushings, hardware, instructions, stickers, and grease.

The springs lower the car 1.8" front and 1.5" in the rear. The rates are fairly conservative to help keep the ride relatively comfortable.

Here are a couple of pictures of the rear sway bar:

And a few of the front sway bar:

And one of the springs:

Joe,
My contact at Progress told me that the front bar is 22, 23 & the rear bar is 22, 23, 24. The Perrin bars are exactly the same (same manufacturer) and they have listed slightly different specs. Keep in mind however that these numbers are approximations, changing the leverage point on the sway bar ends does change the effective rate, but obviosly doesn't magically change the actual bar diameter.

The wife gave the go-ahead after we close on the house!!! Rear sway and endlinks

Would the front bar make any difference, or will it creat more understeer?

Sounds good, just let me know when you're ready!

I installed a 22mm front bar on my car a while back and I was expecting a lot of understeer, but it didn't turn out quite like I expected. With just a 22mm rear bar and an anti-lift kit up front, understeer was almost eliminated in slow speed corners but in higher speed corners the car had too much oversteer. With the addition of the front sway bar the car did exhibit more understeer in slow speed corners but in the higher speed corners the car was very well balanced with both the front and the rear of the car stepping out equally and predictably. The new-found balance really shined through in the snow and on loose surfaces where good balance allows the car to slide equally front and rear. Bottom line, I think the front bar is a great addition for a street driven or track driven car, but I'd recommend against it for the serious autoX'er, where slow corners are the norm, unless other measures (like stiffining up the rear bar) are taken to correct the additional low speed understeer. However, keep in mind that everyone prefers different handling characteristics and what works and is fast for one person may not suit the driving style and preference of another person.

We no longer carry Whiteline products so no more ALK's. We do carry the Noltec bushings that replace the same bushings that the ALK does, but they don't increase the caster like the ALK does. I believe that a large amount of the benefit from the ALK comes from the bushings anyhow. Additional caster helps keep the front end down under acceleration but, just like anything, it doesn't come without a trade off.

Alrighty then. I may, or may not get the ALK. Not sure. BUt I'll be going for both of the bars and rear links. That'll probably happen Monday or so after the 5th.

What about V-Brace for the rear????

BTW I helped Paul put his springs on this weekend. He ordered them from you about a week or so ago. They make the car look NICE! Progress did a good job on them. I haven't ridden in the car yet, but he's VERY happy.

Good luck to you on the 5th! That'll be really exciting.

I'm glad Paul likes the springs. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback about them.

Rasheed, I'm sorry, but none of these parts are designed for the Legacy.

The rear sway bar will fit your TS, but it may be too big of a step up in diameter and may cause excessive oversteer. You might want to look into getting a 20mm '02-'03 sedan rear bar for your car.

Dave, (or anyone else)

Any pics of installed springs? I REALLY need to get rid of my wheel gap, and I also want to get some performance. At the same time, I don't want a toltally harsh ride.
If the Progress springs do all of that, the price is right!

Oh... and do you offer camber bolts as well? You know, throw a set in to sweeten the deal

Thanks!

Here is a picture of the Progress springs on a WRX:

All the feedback that I have gotten on the Progress springs is that they are stiffer than stock but not stiff enough to cause the ride to be excessively harsh.

I can't throw in the camber bolts, but I can get you a better price on them if you want them along with the springs. Give me a call or shoot me an email for more details.

Picture of car with Progress rear swaybar:

Ok, yes, you can't really see the swaybar, but it's still a nice picture! And the car also features a number of other parts from Oakos (lug nuts, speed bleeders, etc.).
