Dear Members,
Believe it or not, the 5th group is officially starting as of today. We achieved vendor status as of last night and thus we are posting the new group buy information and pricing for all NASIOC.com members that are interested in taking advantage of the group buy. Here goes... Kyle(a.k.a. CirrusWRX) will be the official contact and coordinator for this buy. He will be collecting the names of all interested and confirmed buyers and keeping track of them for you publicly. The more members that confirm the lower the price goes. Once the group feels that they have reached a discount level that is universally satisfactory the group buy will close and each member will call in their order with me individually. Each member will be charged separately and the product will be shipped according to each members preference. Buyers: Price: 1.......................$679.00 3.......................$615.00 5.......................$585.00 10.....................$540.00 20.....................$515.00 50.....................$499.00(newest discount level, it has only been reached one time in the history of our leather group buys) We will be offering the following options at the indicated prices. Two-tone............................FREE 2 embroideries....................FREE Installation Kit.....................$25.00 Install Video........................$10.00 Color Double Stitching.........FREE Colored Piping.....................$55.00 Suede inserts......................$85.00 Flat Perforated inserts.........$25.00 Flat Non-perf inserts............$25.00 Seat Heater System............$90.00 Seat heater/Massage..........$159.00 Shift boot.............................$49.99(actual Katzkin leather) Premium leather upgrade.....$85.00(adds more leather to rear seat covers) 1/4 hide of leather...............$80.00 1/2 hide of leather...............$150.00 Yard of Suede......................$80.00 Ground Shipping..................$25.00 As you can see from the pricing changes we plan to beat any of the competition's pricing. Also, double stitching is now FREE, the flat or flat perf inserts for $25.00 instead of $35.00, the suede inserts is now $85.00 down from $100.00, and of course the shipping is a flat rate anywhere in the Continental U.S. Also, if you all reach 25 buys or more shipping will be $15.00 total per kit and if you reach 30 buys shipping will be $5.00 per kit. To speak to me about a leather interior for your vehicle please call toll FREE 1-866-639-7328 ext 104. We look forward to doing business with you all very soon. Dear Bluespeed,
The basic idea with these upholstery kits is that the factory cloth is copied in pattern and replaced with a new superior material. These covers are O.E.M. spec and made to replace the factory cloth for a factory fit and finish. You do have to remove the seats from the car for the install, but you don't have to tear or cut the factory covers off to install these. You simply have to unzip/unclip the factory covers one at a time and then reverse the process to install the new covers you have recieved. There are much more detailed instructions available for public viewing on our website at www.leatherseats.com. Please feel free to get more specific with your questions... I will try and keep up. Thanks, Eric 1-866-639-7328 ext 104 www.leatherseats.com

Hi all! Well, it's about a month later than I had hoped this thing could get started, but we're here, and we're all in one piece, so let's get down to business.
1. Read the previous 4 GB's for some more info if you have no idea what this is about: 3rd Group Buy 2nd Group Buy GB 1 is with Jimmy Hoffa... but I assure you it was very similar to the other three. 2. Post questions here that you think are relavant, but please try to check out the other threads first. There are certainly some points of confusion, but the other threads have answered most common questions by now. I am a NASIOC addict, so I will probably be able to answer almost all questions within a very short time period. 3. Yes - I have instructions. No they are not finished. I need a good arse kicking (and about 2 hours to sit down and finish them) and they will be in Beta 2.0 format - mostly correct, but probably some gaps remain - and they are for a 2002 WRX Sedan. You can check out the older ones here to get an idea of what is involved with the installation. I have 2 left hands, and had some help from a friend in the similar, but we were able to percervere. Not a "fun" job, but certainly do-able by any means. And there are enough people now that you might even be able to find a local buddy to help you out. Oh yeah, and there is this NASIOC thing too ![]() http://www.artechnik.com/BackSeatInstallSedan.pdf http://www.artechnik.com/FrontSeatInstall.pdf http://www.artechnik.com/DoorPanelBe...structions.pdf 4. This GB is good for any Subaru that CFI (aka: leatherseats.com) has a pattern for. We have found, from the past GB's that this includes just about any Subaru you'd find on the boards. However, as always, if you are unsure, please drop either myself or Eric a line and we'll get you the answer ASAP. 5. There is no official "close" date as of yet. As Eric had mentioned, getting 50 orders would be heavenly, but the likliness of this is rather slim. We're obviously shooting for 20 orders, and we have yet to have LESS than 20 orders, so when you plan on "signing up," you can be just about certain that there will be at least 20 orders. So basically, once things start to look like we have 20 people on board, or we're on our way, I'll post a close date. 6. Please sign up when you have a pretty good feeling that you can commit to this. This isn't a $25.00 blinker-cover GB - this is an expensive, and quality product. I understand that "things come up" and I will certainly post your name if you are "on the fence" *BUT* when I say "OK - we're trying to finalize the list - you need to tell me whether you're in or out" and you say you're "in" and bail on me at the last minute, I turn into angry, snarling Cirrus, and I'll come after you with a rusty q-tip. Not a pretty scene. That's about all I can think of for now. Le's do dis thing. Last edited by CirrusWRX; 02-04-2003 at 10:22 PM. |

Sign me up for two seat heaters (right and left front, if there's a difference) and a set of hog-ring pliers and whatever rings I'll need.
Sadly, I'm not in for any leather this time around... ![]() Eric, should I PM you for details on shipping and payment? Alex |

I'm very interested in doing this, but I need to set my priorities. The car that really needs new seats is my '92 Miata. The factory leather is not very good quality and I've got a hole worn in the drivers side seat.
Based on what I'm seeing here, I doubt that it matters what the pattern is for, but I'm wondering if there's any price break because the Miata has only two seats. Hey, if the price is good for the Miata and I win the lottery I might buy a set for the WRX too.... ![]() |

nukem - I have you as "on the fence"
gjones - that is something I think you should discuss with Eric privately about - send him an email or give him a call, as I don't think this is in my realm to answer. If he can't get you in on this GB, he can probably get you a great deal nonetheless, and probably hook you up with the install kit. |

I'm 'IN'.
About the door panel inserts; -Included with seat purchase or buy the 1/4 or 1/2 hide? -Will suede options be available for door panels and shift boot? -Has there been thoughts of an E-brake boot? Thanks. One more - Will the massagers be avialable? Last edited by JasForbes; 02-01-2003 at 09:47 AM. |

Dear Members,
The massager units will be available for $159.00 per kit. The matching vinyl door inserts are included in the leather kits, and this is by far what we recommend using for the doors. The leather is much much more difficult to install than the vinyl is and will not typically stay attached as well. Also, you won't notice much of difference between leather and vinyl on the door panels. To get doors in suede you will have to order an extra yard of suede. We can build the shift boots in suede at the same price. Thanks, Eric 1-866-639-7328 ext 104 www.leatherseats.com

Put me as "on the fence" for a WRX Wagon setup with heaters. Finances will dictate if I am "in" as soon as you set a close date. Thanks.
Can we get some clarification as to what things like "flat panels" are and what embroideries are available (wasn't there a WRX issue?). Also, some recommended two-tone combinations that have worked for others, including some unusual ones. Thanks again. Larry |

Heheh I'm in for a 2003 WRX wagon, (seats, shift boot, and heaters, do I get a special deal
) I was going to get the all leather upgrade since if you want perforated, then you have to get leather. But since it's more difficult to install in the doors supposedly, then I will get the vinyl and no perforation and save some cash. I want the inserts down option (inserts on the top half so the top half of the seat back and headrests are dark graphite and the indside of the seatback, halfway down, are the insert color and the bottom center is all insert color), oh yeah, and silver double stitching.I'm intrigued by these new massager thingys though... Any details, how well do they work, are the heaters better than just the regular heaters, are there extra BUTTONS I need details. Also, one last question before I call in and finalize my order, I have 3 swatches here, one for silver, one for platinum, and one for dove grey. The dove gray seems a little light compared to the headliner, the silver seems pretty cool, but looks like it would be prone to losing it's shiny-ness, and the platinum is darker than the headliner by as much as the dove gray is lighter than the headliner. Anyone who put in any of these colors have a recommendation, particularly the silver or platinum? |

Is it just me or does the leather seem to flatten out the side bolsters?
BTW what is the design called with multiple panels? |

It might appear to flatten the bolsters a little, and maybe it does, but what you might actually be seeing is one of a few things:
1. The leather is almost a 1/4 inch thick (maybe thicker?) and the stock seat covers are nowhere near that, so I think what happens is the bulky thick leather simply goes "higher" to the sides of the bolsters, making them appear smaller. 2. Perhaps you are referring to this pic: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/atta...postid=3283360 This is from a seat in a pre 2002 2.5 RS - they have slightly different seats, like the bolsters, and the headrest, etc... 3. Some people choose to really stretch the leather tight, and others a little looser which would result in some slight bending of the foam itself, and thus altering the shape. The multiple panels that you refer to are the differnt style seat of the pre 2002 2.5 RS (I believe) Otherwise, the "tighter" style leather is the "flat non-perforarated inserts." |

1. Seat massager = not new, I believe. Check out the previous GB's about the massagers, or try a search - a few people on here have them and like them. They actualyl come with a separate control module, (like a mini remote control) for the separate areas - I think they also have heater function built in. I haven't heard any word on whether they heat better than the carbotex, so see if you can find out who got them in the previous GB's and drop em an email or PM 2. Don't worry about finalizing or calling in your order - when we get our 20 (or more) people finalized, then I will specifiy a date when you guys can start calling in. Until then, you don't need to make your absolute final decision (in case you can't figure out what you want!) 3. This is personal: I was in the same boat as yourself. I have a silver sedan, and I too thought about the silver, and the wear and tear from a (heavily) daily driver. I decided to try the following: Dark graphite with light gray centers - you can see a pic - it's the first one on this thread, and I have more I just need to get arond to uploading. The two colors, IMHO, are P*E*R*F*E*C*T - I had (again) anothe person come up to me today (he just bought an RS on Monday) and he swore they were stock - he didn't believe they were aftermarket. The dark graphite matches the interior "dark gray" (like the dash, plastic door panels, carpet, etc...) just incredibly well - it is damned near impossible to tell there is a difference. And the "light gray" that I choose for my centers match the HEADLINER (light gray) damned near perfect. I love my color choices and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Just my .02 |
