Hey, I have a sister in Miami and if I can get there this way, then screw the highway patrol!

Seriously, the more I look at that rig, the more impressed I am. Must have been at least one welder on that job. Imagine how secretive they had to be - did they dare test that rig before taking it out?

Personally, I dream of building a rig with two aluminium pontoons and a frame that the car drives on to. It would float about like that truck, then on land it would break down into a trailer that you tow.

I'd like to know what finally became of that truck, bet the coast guard sank it. That thing belongs in a museum like the cars that people used to smuggle folks across the Iron Curtain.

My brother's in the Coast Guard. They sink everything! I bet that thing is an artificial reef by now. I'd like to dive that one!

They would've had a better chance if the painted it blue or grey and got rid of the bright cover... No wonder they were spotted!!!

Paint it dark gray, add a whale-tail spoiler, and hope to blend in...

It would beat paying the $13 or so on Turnpike to get there!

Build a platform with a dyno sort of thing, except have the dyno hooked up to a propeller!

The CG did sink it from what I read.

Autoweek did a spoof about it a couple weeks ago. They photochopped a Chevy SSR onto it. Hilarious!!
