Default 2000 2.5 oil pressure

Please help me. What is the typical oil pressure of a 2.5 phase II engine. I am seeing over 80psi when my engine is warm is this correct? thanks

larsch13,
What brand/grade of oil are you running? I have been running Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30 and I see about 80+ on "cold" oil then as the oil comes up to temp (about 150-180 deg F) I see about 60psi at cruise at about 3500 RPM...
My guage is an autometer mechanical gauge which recieves it's oil feed from the secondary oil gallery (near the throttle body).
Is my oil pressure unusually low? I guess the guage could be off a bit (bought it used).

Can others please post oil pressure readings at similar conditions that I mentioned above?

Thanks,
Chad

Default oil pressure

Thanks everyone, my oil pressure gauge only goes to 80psi, and it is constantly pegged at startup, after warmup anything over
3k rpm pegs the gauge.

I wonder if the decrepancy in my oil pressure and yours is a function of me using a lighter grade (5W30) of oil or my gauge could be off about 10 PSI. But I too see about 15-25 PSI at idle.
Hmm....

Anyone else care to comment on their oil pressure and grade/brand of oil at various operating conditions?

Thanks,
Chad
