Default Weird noise issue

So here's the deal: I get whine and other various electrical static and popping over my speakers. The thing is, this only happens when it's been raining. I also have issues with my voltage going nuts when the car is wet. I've seen it spike into 15v and below 12v.

I do have all sorts of crazy wiring in my car. I have a Jim Hoyd Harness connected to my McCulloch HID kit. I have heated seats, and a huge arse stereo. Thing is, I'm pretty sure this started happening well after I had these things in the car for a while.

Any opinions? Could it be my alternator or a weird grouding issue or do I have to start going through all my wires?

i have that same alternator whine but mine is all the time. i have an amp hooked up to my speakers and im sure all the grounding is correct. im not sure what to do also, i wanted to check my alternator to see how it was holding up, and i wanted to get a grounding kit. has anyone else had this problem besides us? post some advise.

I have the same problem as xthexjoker. Problem is that I asked my dealership to check it out twice, and they said they can't hear it!! I'm thinking it's probably because they are working in a noisy garage.

It's probably the grounding. I saw these grounding loops at Best Buy the other day that are supposed to take care of this sort of noise. I had the whine in my last car and it about drove me nuts (so I sold it and got an STi).

I'm definitely looking over all my wiring tomorrow. It didn't rain today, but it was EXTREMELY humid, and my voltage was jumping all over the place. It kept shooting up past 15v and then when I was parked it was dropping to 10v.

Definitely not good.
