Clutch noise when car is on.

I noticed that when my car is on.

When I roll down my windows and listen closely.
When I release the clutch at a certain speed, I can hear it engaging...like a slight catching noise. I'm in neutral when i hear this. Is this normal???

The sound goes away if the car is off.

My car (2001 RS) also makes a little noise in nuetral when the clutch is engaged, but I usually only notice during the cold months.

When I meant speed, I meant the speed of me releasing the clutch.

I'm not rolling when I hear this noise.

In every manual transmission car I've ever owned, I've been able to hear the clutch fork make contact with the throwout bearing when you very lightly touch the clutch pedal at rest/idle.

Also, it's fairly easy to hear the throwout bearing touch the fingers of the pressure plate.

You will hear a little rattling sound and often a touch of 'whir' as the bearing touches the pressure place and spins up.

My car does the same thing. It should be normal.
