Default So the valet says you need new plugs mon!

It worked. For months I have been parking my car at a garage at my club in Philly and the valets have played with my car. i even went so far as to complain to the club manager. One morning I was having breakfast with a client and I could hear the unmistakable sound of my car being revved accross the street, in the garage. So a few months ago, I finally installed my external utec switch. It never stopped them from playing with my car. Last night finally, one of the guys noticed that my car was way down on power. Maybe word will spread amongst the guys that my car is slow and not worth playing with. The valet switch seems to be working. It is really funny that he thought I had bad plugs. Maybe I do. Maybe I should pull them. Makes me wonder. Use your valet switch.

Or....

Just go over there....

And kick their asses for messing with your car.

I never valet my car for that very reason.

You also live in Texas. In the old cities on the east coast, sometimes you are not given a choice. In Center City Philadelphia, 75% of the parking is valet only. They do that because there is not enough space and they need to stack cars in the aisles.

I can't believe the valets get away with that.. I'm a valet myself, but wouldn't risk my job by beating on the cars you know..

Yeah, you've got a point - I just hate people who don't respect other people's property. It's just moronic.

hey, I mean I have friends who give them the keys to their F cars B cars and R cars. It is just a subaru. I am just afraid that they will drop the clutch in the garage and do a 1.6 60ft into a column or off the edge of the 7th floor.

I should reflash your ECU so that it will freeze (and not run the car until reset) when the rpms go over 5500.... then you wait and sue them later for blowing up the car

I'd want a cut of the profit tho

You could probably put a map in a UTEC that has a rev limiter at 2500rpm.

No, you can't, there's no way to change the rev limit with the current UTEC software.

Then have zero fuel above 2500rpm.

Sure.. it would be pretty easy.
The ECUTek software lets you adjust the rev limiter as long as you have deltadash.

If we (Cobb) did it it would have to be a custom deal but it would be pretty trivial. We could even put it on a toggle switch or somesuch.

Hey,
I just thought of this.. You CAN do this with the UTEC. put a switch on your clutch switch and set launch control rev at about 3k and then no more over 3k at all!!!! That would be a good deal!!

You know what will happen: They'll just get a few fellow valets to push your car into a parking spot, and when you come back for it, they'll say it can't start. You'll start bitching, and the manager will say: "Well, isn't your car heavily modded?"

Maybe you can install a hidden video camera and data logger, and use that to confront them. It would be a pretty cool project, and would only cost you a $3500 repainting job to fix the key marks once you get them fired
