Oil pressure sending unit install...HELP
I bought the oil gallery plug and its a different thread pattern then the sending unit. Whats the best method to go about installing it. Maybe they make some kind of adapter or something. Its the autometer oil pressure guage.

you need a 1/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female adapter. eGauges.com should have it. Make sure to put some sort of thread sealer on it.

Do you think I can get that at a local home depot or is that something that is a rare find and I have to get it off-line.

I can't get to that site for some reason. Can you post a link. www.eguages.com is not in use.

http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?...Bushings&Cart= It's listed as a VDO adapter but it's the correct theadings for your autometer also. The listed autometer part is almost $4 more expensive for the exact same thing. Wow pepboys carries that adapter? Must not be every pepboys. That's got to be rare but at least you could pick it up locally and not have to pay for shipping. |
