Hey guys glad to finally be a Subaru Owner and especially glad to find a good Outback forum. Well here's my story, on July 17 I finally got my Subie, a 2003 Outback H6-3.0 Wagon (not VDC or LL Bean, just the base model) from Don Murray at Stan Olsen Subaru in Omaha, Nebraska.
Here are my Q's: 1. What performance parts are there for an H6 engine or a newer Outback? I know about the K&N filter, but unfortunately that about all I can find. ANY help is welcome and appreciated 2. I recently bought all synthetic fluids; Mobil 1 ATF, 5w-30, and 75-90w for diffs. Anyway can someone give me some advice on what is the best mileage to change any of these fluids at? I was thinking around 3,000 for all, but I wanted to get some different opinions from some Subie guys first. BTW, my OB only has 900 miles right now. Thanks ![]()

Welcome to the Club, and congrats on the car.
Post some photos of your car at "Calling all Subaru Outbacks" created by me. And also, Peaty is your man about Outback H6, since he has one. Welcome ![]() |

I know there are more places, but I have not found them yet. Check out Cobb Tuning in the mean time.

I've heard to let the engine run through a few normal oil changes before changing to synth. You need to fully break it in first. I did my first synth oil at 10k... Changed the rear dif also... Oh, and not much engine mods for the h6, but you can still do some handling stuff. Maybe you can talk to cobb and see what they can do for you.
