Ok... So I just got the money for fuel management. So I chose F.A.S.T. (formerly SpeedPro). In order for me to use F.A.S.T., I need to know what kind of ignition trigger we have. Magnetic, Optical, halleffect, or is it just off of the cam position sensor? Any info is greatly appreciated.
Also, what are the valvetrain components made out of. I.E. cams, valves, spring, retainers. Thanks in advance, Adam

Actually, the answer is that this system will not work with Subaru components and, therefore, nobody uses it.

Why not just take off the sensor and look at it?

How will the F.A.S.T. work with the drive by wire? Will you have to replace the DBW with a throttle cable?
I don't know where the sensor is on an STI. But it is probably the sort of thing you should find out if you are installing an aftermarket computer. ![]() |

I'm not personally installing it. My mechanic is. Still doing research on the whole "which 'Stand-alone' will work" thing and havent gotten to the Drive by Wire issue... Thanks for bringing that up. Might have to look into MoTeC.
Thanks, Adam |
