Default Rear Wiper for STi

I spy a rear wiper in this pic.

Not sure if I'd do it, but thought I'd throw it up for discussion.

All JDM Imprezas have that rear window wipers.

So does the EVO..

I think it's a cost savings move on Subaru to remove them off our cars.

yar, what WReXinEfX said...that pic is of a JDM slow STi, we get the super sonic fast USDM one w/o rear wiper.

I'll take approx 30 more hp instead of a rear wiper thx.

I’d love to have a rear wiper. Every car I have ever had hasn’t had one
And I find in the winter that snow and slush will build up from the bottom
as you drive… mix the cold from the outside and heat from the inside making
it foggy and hard to see. The ability to remove that slush without having to
get out would be nice

Canadians get it too.
But they don't get HID's.

Why not just order the parts needed and ad it on. I would assume that all the cars are wired the same but a quick check of the wiring diagram will confirm that. If the wiring is there then you just need the back glass (probably not cheap), wiper motor and arm, relay(?), and switch. Seems like a good mod depending on what the window costs.

The USDM STi has 2.5L and 300Bhp. JDM STi has an "official" 280hp but we all know it is more like 290-300hp.

A good example is the UK spec STi 2.0L 265hp (watered down to meet some regulation crap) but 90% of cars sold leaves the dealership with the PPP which bumps the output to 300hp and 300tq all with warranty.....

Not to mention our intercoolers are slightly smaller and the seats are so damm big I hardly feel the grip.

At 6 foot, 230 lbs (mostly muscle
), the seat fits perfect!
