Cool Blowoff Valve

What is the best blowoff valve out there in the market for my WRX? I just got my car on saturday and I am tempted to upgrade everything. I am also looking for a body kit for it so if you can help me in finding someone that makes it, I thank you.
My upcoming upgrades that I want to do is:
exhaust
blowoff valve
18" Racing Hart Z5000's or 5Zigen 5ZR's
suspension kit
body kit

Your car already has a blow off value

aka dump valve

it's a recirculating type.

If you want more sounds then upgrade to a induction kit so you can hear the valve dumping air back in.

If you want big whoosh whoosh sound effects go for a dump-to-atmosphere, make sure it's the sequential type and that you get your car on a Rolling Road to make sure it's running OK after fitting it.

Personally i'd go for a Bailey-type piston recirculating type. Safest bet

Gethin.

2002 WRXex are equipped with an exhaust wastegate valve to regulate boost pressure. Is that the same as a "dump" valve?

Hey fellow flip with a WRX. I work over in Monrovia off of Huntington Drive. I just ordered a TurboXs Blow-off valve and will be getting it this Friday. Stop by sometime next week if you want to see how it sounds. As for the rims you want, make sure that they come in the correct offset because only the CP-035's are currently available (i believe). Check out the following link for body-kits and wheels. Takakaira

PM me if you want to check out the B-off valve

noooo...a dump valve is the same thing as a bypass valve. it dumps or bypass the pressurized air back into the intake when you shift or let off the gas at a certain preset pressure. TurboXS makes a racing bypass valve can hold up to 35psi and they already have an adapter that fits the 'rx.

The TurboXS BPV doesnt fit well under the hood of the WRX. I got an email about it. I personally just got in a Forge valve ( Stratmosphere ) so I'm gonna check it out as soon as i get out of work.

You can check out mine here: http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/003696.html

it's made for the wrx and it is L O U D. I hear it is quieter when switched to hybred mode, but this one is set to full vent.

Jon, in more simple terms, when accelerating, the wastegate closes, directing exhaust gas through a centrifugal turbine which is connected to a centrifugal compressor through a shaft. The compressor takes ambient air and pressurizes it, forcing it into the intake manifold, on it's way into the cylinders. When you let off the gas or shift during this cycle, that pressure from the turbo's compressor needs to be vented to prevent that pressure from being forced backwards through the compessor, slowing it down and compomising the seal. performance and turbo protection.
