I got it, from cobb, and my mods are:
TXS TBE w/ RFL-TI, perrin uppipe, perrin crank pulley. Accessecu stage 2 93 oct ... If you have it, you know how sweet it is! I came around a turn, gave it WOT and my back end kicked out a bit!! I have a perrin rear sway bar, but i never could do that on dry pavement before! Very very nice, power in entire rev band, power is always there! I wish this was how the base wrx started out at, but then again, thats an STI ![]() I love it, get it, its safe and reliable which sold me! I cant wait until Norwalk Raceway next Wednesday assuming no rain! I will post my times then! chris p.s. this car accelerates on the highway just like my WS6, no doubt, it doesnt have ALL the LS1's torque but it is just as fast, I think I've finally brought back the feeling of massive power! I miss my TA, and this is definitely a perfect replacement for all year driving!

Chris, I'm ready to step up to Cobb stage 2, stage 1 is great. I have the turboxs turbo back with the RFL sitting ready for install and will ship the ecu out this Monday. What did you do for the rear cell fix? Was the TBE install fairly straight forward, looks like it shouldn't be too hard. Can't wait to hear the roar from the rear.

I would first put on the TBE, and reset the ecu by removing the negative off the battery ... feel the new mod, its a good one! Actually, since you already have stage one, just go get the stage 2, but you should have the tbe on before the stage 2, if you want to be picky as the stage2 is designed to have the tbe already on the car, you wouldnt be doing the mods justice! But after 150 miles I can honestly say, the car is responsive and feels great.
also ask them to remove your speed limiter, its free! |

This is the first time I've heard of a rear cell problem. Could someone elaborate on this as I do a search. Thanks.

It is the cat inefficiency CEL. It usually happens when you remove your cats or replace with a high-flow cat. The ECU has a threshold where the difference in O2 readings should be and if they fall out of that range, the CEL shows up. Cobb can alter that threshold if asked to do so.

Yes, get them to fix it. Older WRXs have a simple fix for it, but they changed something in the 04s so the old fix won't work. You can use a ScoobySport fix, but it costs ~$70. I am having them turn mine off as well as the uppipe CEL because I know over time the resistor is going to crap out. I sent my ECU off today and it should be in Utah by 10:30am tomorrow. $43 via UPS Next Day with insurance, which wasn't too bad I suppose. I can't wait!!!
