Has anyone else here with an ECUTEK received a CEL when cruising on the highway using the Cruise Control?
Had it set on 70 mph, doing nothing major at all (so I thought). BAM! CEL. No noticeable events / cuts in power or anything like that to coincide with it. This is the second time I have got this under these conditions. I know I should get the code pulled but I thought I'd first see if anyone else has seen this at all. I know ~WRBlue02 has. Anyone else?

Do you have any cat converters in your exhaust?

I take it you don't have Delta Dash? I'd suggest having the code pulled. No sense speculating what code it might be - just get the code pulled so you KNOW what's going on.
That being said, freeway time is where the p0420 likes to come up, and it won't have any performance effects if it does. |

I have the two post-turbo cats (stock exhaust) and a catless uppipe.
I will get it pulled, I was just curious if anyone else had seen it yet before I do. I have the v1.0 map so Delta Dash won't do much for me yet. I'm getting the v2.0 map this week so I can use Delta Dash. |

Mine does that all the time too, and I have the stock ECU. It's always EGT, although it's not just cruise control. It's any constant speed, low throttle, highway cruising.

Ah ha... that sounds about right. I'll get the code pulled and let you know either way. Guess I'd better get an EGT gauge...

I got this for the first time about a week ago. I have had my up-pipe in for about a year and a half (18,000 miles). My codes were:
EGT Sensor Malfunction and High EGT Input I was behind a cop so I was using cruise in 5th gear. It happend when going up an incline. |
