Default A/C and water out of floor vents

I was driving my 2001 RS the other day and took a sharp turn. When taking the turn water started comming out of my floor/heating vents. This only seems to happen if I've been running the AC.

Any tips on what this could be? Could I fix this myself?

Your a/c drain line is clogged for some reason. Try to locate it and see if there is blockage.

Any hints on where the A/C drain line is located or how to get to it?

Thanks for the help!

The air system should be behind your glove box/center dash area. On '02s, I believe the outside air is sucked in behind the right side of the glove box, goes through the "cabin air filter", and then goes left to the A/C cooling unit (not sure what it's officially called). There should be a hose coming out of the bottom of that unit, and going down and back, with its opening underneath the car.
I would strongly recommend buying or looking at a shop manual if you want to get at the insides of the unit that has the drain hose. If you just want to try unplugging the hose a bit, jack up the car onto jackstands, crawl underneath, find the drain hose opening, and *gently* run a very narrow pipecleaner type of brush up the tube. You might *gently* try a coat hanger first, being careful not to damage the rubber tube.

Has it only done the water out of the vent thing recently? My RS did it for the first time last weekend. Just a drip or two on my wifes leg. It never did it earlier in the year. For now I have written it off as the AC drain not being able to keep up with the ungodly humidity we have been having in CT (not sure about NH) for the last two weeks. I'll keep and eye on it when the humidity drops back to reasonable levels.

I too would like to know where that drain is and how to unclog it. I have a major puddle from using the a/c through that humidity. Then it rains every night so crawling under hasn't happened. But you gotta run that a/c when stuck on 93 every night.

Well I think I fixed it. Tonight I'll try running the A/C for a while to make sure it's draining properly.

I had my car up on jack stands and searched all over heck for the drain line. I had tried a couple times with no luck. I ended up locating it while looking under the hood. The A/C drain line came out of the passanger side at the bottom of the firewall. It was hanging above the catalytic converter.

To clear the drain line I used my air compressor and blew air up the tube. Sure enough I could hear water bubbling. After blowing air up the drain line the water started flowing out.

Thanks again for the help!
