Post Any one got a JC sport, ASR or Lubespeed turbo kit?

I'm trying to find a good forced induction kit. I would like a supercharger ,but a turbo would do. I would like to know what you guys think of JCsports,ASR, and Lubespeed? I only have about $3,800 to play with. I have a clutch and getting a exhust soon.

Wait about a month and the Ludespeed kits will be available to the public. Right now the groupbuy is still carrying on.

I personally decided to go with Alan at ASR first because I got in on the group buy which was a great price!! More than that though, Alan is a great guy and gave me plenty of advice as to how to achieve my goals with my car. Very customer service oriented and plus he says he can get the turbo to us in under 14 days (keeping my fingers crossed).

As for the JC Sports, just read the 670+ post!!

I will let you know how my car feels after the turbo is installed. Hope this helps!!

I'd recommend the JC Sports basic IHI... just make sure you don't get it until after the GB is done.

Well as far as experience....
Jc sports look in the vendor forum for the 600+ saga of the JCsports groupbuy. Read it all before ordering.

Ludespeed. Only 2 people actually have kits right now... the GB is progressing. We've been kept up to date reasonably well, but there have been delays. Mostly due to cirsumstances out of his control. I expect the first kits will be in our hands in the next 2 weeks.

ASR. Well the few people who have the kits seem to like them. The group buy the setup seems to be run really well, but we wont know until people actually get the kits. They recently came onto the i-club in a big way.

Forced air tech sells kits. Only one person has one that I know of. He's apparently happy though.

Nobody else I know of can currently ship a kit. For various reasons.
(rallispec, vishnu, amr, rimmer, etc, etc)

Rallispec in NJ would be worth looking into. I believe they sell a kit for $3800 installed. I went with the ludespeed kit but don't have it yet.

01 Black RS - According to their website http://www.rallispec.com/turbo_power.htm
the Rallispec kit is going to be $6500 to $7500 installed. It should be a great setup, but just like most things at Rallispec it's muy expensive.

Question

Where can I get ASR parts? Do they have a site? Or is there a site to buy these parts?

Thanks,

Ippon

There are kits in the works from Cobb Tuning and Vishnu. There are others but most need heavy modification to fit the car properly.
I've spoken with and or dealt with every "Kit" maker out there and have my opinion on most every one of them.
The Vishnu/Minnam combination was the most promising when I built the RS. It was modified to suit my requirements.
Trey Cobb and Shiv of Vishnu are developing what will be very well sorted kits.
If you are interested in my research/experience email me.

We currently are offering our Stage III kit which will have the Wolf 3D management system.
All the benefits of the STage II with the exceptional tunability of Wolf 3D. You don't even need a lap top to tune it. They come with a hand held tuner which is easier to use.
Do not need to turn the car off and on every time you need to save the changes to the MAP like you do with the TEC II. Kits will come with a pre programmed map tailored to the kit. We also have different Maps for different combinations like bigger injectors, turbos, race gas, etc.
The price is $5000

the amount you have to spend would get you a ASR stage 2. as for the prices on www.Rallispec.com well they are a little out of date. they are offering a "stage 1" kit at present for a few thousand less than what is quoted on the site. given that you are in MD they would be a good place to look. call or email for better info.

I had a JC turbo kit and it wasn't bad. I basicly redid the whole kit, but not bad. I was actually going to install an ASR kit but due to a tree, could quite do it. The ASR turbo is wonderfuly chosen. It pulls strong on the bottom end and stronger on the top end. For a bolt on kit, you can't go wrong with Alans kit. For a custom kit, try B-Spec. :forest gump mode on: And thats all I have to say about that. :forest gump mode off:
