Default new to stand alone ecu tuning

I was hoping to finish my baja turbo project with the addition of a stand alone ecu (Link 1). My question is should i be prepared for any major unexpected costs? I was hoping to have z1 performance in Long Island tune the ecu however after contacting him he said he wouldn't risk the liability of working on new age 2.5l engine w/ aftermarket boost. Hmm so now i'm trying desperately to find a shop willing to do this work however it has also made me very aprehensive about continuing the project. I was under the impression that a properly tuned ecu will actually make the boosted engine more reliable. My goal is to run about 7-9psi. I've got nearly 15k on my turbo system now running 4.5psi with only a rrfpr, voltage clamp, and slight ignition retard.

Sorry for my rant however i'm now very aprehensive and i'm not sure if i should just "leave well enough alone". I'll be installing 440cc injectors, knock guard, and boost controller with the ecu.

Can you give me any help/ ideas/ recommended shops to finish this project?

thanks
