http://turbo_25rs.tripod.com/ Is this the correct link? I just happened to be searching for turbo kits, and this popped up.

What do you mean what's up with my fuel rail and FPR? I have stock rails and injectors, and the FPR is there to lower the fuel pressure the high flow fuel pump jacked up.

That looks like the correct URL for Ludespeed.. you can just e-mail Tom.. I think he will be much easier to find once all 15 group buy kits are installed and he's ready to do more.

How do I like the kit? So far so good.. but like I said, I paid for a kit that could handle much more boost than I am currently running, so the verdict is still out until I get the boost controller and see what kind of pull 8 psi gives me.. so far just running 5/6psi is quite fast, feels faster than a stock WRX but I havn't had a chance to prove it yet. (They are quite sparse up here)

Thumbs up Ludespeed Turbo Kit Installed

Hey everybody. I got my ludespeed turbo kit as part of the group buy. It is basically the stage 3 kit but I opted for the T3 turbo instead of the hybrid one. The kit was installed at Rallispec, who dealt with the small fitment problems. I have informed Tom of the problems we had, and he has corrected them for the rest of the kits. The car is performing pretty well now, but I am only running 6psi on a system designed for 7-9. My EGT's look good, so I'm gonna turn it up to 8psi when I get my manual boost controller. I am using a cluchmaster stage III clutch, and have fuel pressure, boost, and EGT gauges. Fuel delivery is by S-AFC and cartech RRFPR, with an ITC doing the ignition retard. You can see pics of the kit installed and my car at the following URL. Some pics are strange because that is what Tom and the other group buy participants wanted to see.

I thought he top pipe that goes around under your belt guard was the fuel rail, but its under that - I thought your FPR was gone, but I can just see it now.

Yeah he's crazy... all the way to Rallispec to get it installed, but from what I gather they did an excellent job.

BTW, my kit should be in within the month as well. More reports and pics to come.

Yeah, pretty crazy I guess.. but it was a nice drive. Would have been better if it wasn't raining so much, could have done some sightseeing. After driving on the turbo'd engine from Jersey (10 hours straight) I feel pretty confident in the setup's reliability. I touched the IC at the gas stations and it remained cool

No tranny upgrade yet, just trying to stay out of boost in 2nd gear and shifting at 4000 rpm. I think 8psi will be okay if I continue to drive like a wuss until I hit third gear. I will try dialing in 7psi, perhaps a consistent 7 will feel fast enough. It just sucks right now to sometimes have 5 and have it sometimes go to 6, and sometimes (rarely) 7. My wastegate is supposed to be open to the 8 psi setting.

You kit looks great. Rallispec really knows how to install turbos well! Have fun with it.

One thing though (not to bum you out),
Do you have any tranny upgrades? (other than the clutch?)
If you dont, you might want to think twice about going over 7psi. 2nd gear may never forgive you.

I missed the group buy on this and I haven't really seen the original thread. Boeleni you have exactly what I am looking for. An 8-10psi setup. I like the fact that you drove on it 10 hours straight with no problems.

How much did you pay for the kit and what all came with it? If you could leave me a link to the original group buy thread that would be great too.

Thanks
Brad

Here's the link to the groupbuy:
http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Forum2/HTML/003126.html

I'm not sure if the prices will change when Tom goes into normal production, he mentioned that it might.

I paid about $3000 for:
Jet-Hot coated Uppipe, Downpipe, and Cat (2.5 inch stainless steel)
Turbonetics Delegate (7-9psi spring)
6x20x3 Intercooler (Cartech core) *HUGE!*
Blitz BOV
Blitz Air Filter
Brand New T3 turbo
Cartech RRFPR
OEM Subaru Oil Pan (pre-modified)
Hoses and clamps and fittings for Oil feed and Water Cooled setup
MAF adapter and Bracket

The Kit was supposed to come with a Boost Gauge, S-AFC, and ITC, but I already had that stuff. It was also supposed to come with the big T3/T4 hybrid turbo but I wanted to try the T3.
